La impactante racha que acumula Brasil por Eliminatorias

LA SELECCIÓN ARGENTINA buscará recuperarse de la caída ante Uruguay y cortar un largo récord de Brasil en condición de local.
Este martes en el estadio Maracaná se medirán por la sexta fecha de las Eliminatorias Sudamericanas rumbo a la Copa del Mundo de 2026.
La Canarinha defenderá su histórico registro: jamás perdió un partido por Eliminatorias en condición de local. Su primer encuentro tuvo lugar en 1954 (en el Maracaná contra Chile ganó 1-0 con gol de Baltazar), ya que en 1930, 1934, 1938 y 1950 había clasificado de forma directa, sin necesidad de competir por las plazas.
Durante los 64 partidos disputados, lograron 51 victorias y empataron los 13 restantes. El último duelo fue empate 1 a 1 ante Venezuela, resultado que le cortó una racha de 15 triunfos seguidos en su país por la clasificatoria.
Dentro de este registro, les ganó a los nueve rivales Conmebol y solo Uruguay logró empatarle más de dos veces. La Celeste pudo sumar en 2000, 2003 y 2016.
